I make all of my own Damascus in house, these hatchets are made from 300 layers of 1080 and 15n20 heat-treated to 55-57 HRC for ultimate durability. The bearded blade allows for carving and fine work to be done with the blade as well as chopping and slitting. Reverse to the blade is a hammerhead capable of just about any job!
The haft is Ash and can be done in a Straight Tomahawk style or in a more traditional axe handle style.
