"Papa" This Custom blade is available in W2 Tool Steel with a clay hamon and CPM 3V with a dark etch. You can choose between 1/8 inch thick stock to 3/16 inch thick stock. 10.5 inches overall with a 5 1/4 inch cutting edge. The handle is secured to the full steel tang with Gflex epoxy and brass pins. The lanyard tube is standard on this model. All Steels are hardened to 61-62 HRC.
All woods are stabilized with the exception of Desert Ironwood and Cocobolo, these two kinds of wood are too dense to stabilize and thus wouldn't benefit from being stabilized.
Additional handle material options are available for an additional cost due to the price of the materials. If interested in Desert Ironwood, Cocobolo, many kinds of Burl, alumilite resin, or ctek resin hybrid scales just send me a message for a quote!

My W2 TOOL STEEL HEAT TREAT
I thermal cycle all my W2 to reduce the grain size as small as possible and evenly distribute the alloying components. This drastically increases the toughness and overall quality of the steel. Just like 1095, W2 needs a fast quench, whenever possible I brine quench W2. This maximizes hardness and edge retention. Some models are quenched in fast oil due to their especially thin edges that will crack if quenched in brine. For these models, the edges are so thin a fast oil quench achieves the same overall hardness and edge retention. A clay Hamon is available on all W2 models. Models are tempered down to between 60 – 64 HRC depending on their intended use.
Being an advanced particle metallurgy tool steel CPM 3V has toughness greater than 5160, and an order of magnitude more edge holding than 1095 or W2. Utilizing a high-temperature process, long soak, and fast quench this steel possesses an amazing mix of properties. After the initial quench, this steel undergoes a sub-zero treatment bringing the blades down -110 Degrees Fahrenheit. Models are tempered down to 60 – 62 HRC depending on intended use.
